September 22, 2009 – Digital Alberta’s Social Media and Consumers: Next 500 Days – Roger Kondrat will be among Digital Alberta’s panel of experts speaking about how consumers will be using Social Media in the next 500 days.
September 16, 2009 – Calgary Third Tuesday a local social media meetup has Shel Israel visiting to promote his book.
September 12, 2009 – Calgary’s Twestival – West17Media has once again been asked to organize Calgary’s Twestival – essentially a social media powered/promoted event. We’ll be posting more information here soon.
May 12, 2009, 5:30 – 7:30pm - Convergence in the Media – Should we make the distinction?
May 05, 2009 – Future of Journalism – Roger Kondrat (bio) was invited to join a panel of local experts to discuss the ‘Future of Journalism’ with big local names like Don Braid of the Calgary Herald and local Media and Communication specialist David Taras of the University of Calgary.
February 12, 2009 – Calgary’s Twestival – Roger Kondrat was asked by Amanda Rose (Twestival’s Founder) to organize Calgary’s first Twitter Festival (aka Twestival). Roger was interviewed by the Calgary Herald, CityTV and CBC. Soon after this event, CBC Calgary, Calgary Sun and the Calgary Herald joined Twitter and have been some of the biggest promoters of the service in Calgary for 2009.
